We need mechanical and woodworking assistance to help restore our 1934 Farmall Tractor, early 1900's John Deere manure spreader & corn planter, and New Idea seedling planter. 

If you have experience with farm equipment or wood restoration please contact us for details.

This historical house is the site of our permanent office. Regular tasks include tidying up the house for tours, clean and care for museum items, document collections and artifacts, organize office, prepare for events and exhibits at historic sites, discuss and plan for upcoming projects, develop youth education programs, historical research, computer skills, collaborate with local organizations, assist with CHS business needs, prepare items for live demonstrations.

This is the site of our historical farm equipment and farming museum. Typical tasks include restoration and repair farm equipment, tools, woodworking and wood refinishing, painting, gardening, handyman repair work, displays and exhibits, antique preservation, preparing collection items for live demonstrations, maintaining, and updating the interior of buildings on site.

We also need help organizing and executing events, fundraisers, museum exhibits, writing articles for our newsletters and other publications, social media updates, and hands-on demonstrations of traditional home arts, crafts, and farming. Email us today to see how you can help.

1937 Farmall Tractor Fund

  

This tractor was featured in Canton’s 1976 Bicentennial parade. 

Help get it running again for the America 250 Celebration this year.

CHS is looking for our members’ help to restore this and other farm equipment for community events.

Donations of $100 or more will be acknowledged on a sign in the barn.
